After our wonderful weekend at the beach, we continued on our way to Disneyworld!
Oh my, the excitement that filled the truck as
we drove in- we finally made it!!!
Here is a picture of our room- before it got all messy
with all our stuff! After we unloaded the truck we headed
off to our first park- Magic Kingdom. We made it just
in time for the parade and fireworks. Fun fun!!
Here is a picture of the grounds and outside of the building our
room was in. We stayed at the Port Orleans Resort and just
loved it- it's absolutely beautiful. And we love staying in the
Disneyworld resorts instead of staying off campus.
Here are some highlights of our week:
When you stay at the resorts, you can ride the
buses everywhere- very convenient. Here is
Chad waiting at the bus stop.
Here is V waiting at the bus stop.
And this is how H spent the time walking to and
waiting at the bus stops- spraying her spray
bottle! I tell ya, I spent a $1 on that thing
and I think it was the best dollar I ever spent!
That kept her occupied waiting for the buses,
waiting in lines and riding in the stroller around
the parks. She loved squirting the back of V's legs
as she walked in front of her!!
We took this at Animal Kingdom.
At Animal Kingdom we went on the safari- very fun!
On the left behind the brush, you can see the top of
the bus that was ahead of us. You ride around in an open
bus and are able to see many animals! It's pretty cool!
I was in the middle of everyone on the bus so
I was able to take pics of them looking at
the animals!
One of the highlights for the girls was meeting the
characters and getting their signature books signed!
They got to meet almost all of them and some of them twice!
We also ate at 2 restaurants where the characters walked
around and stopped at each table to sign the kids books
and take pictures with them. So fun!!
Mickey Mouse is checking out V's lanyard-
one of the fun things to do is buy pins and
you can trade with anyone who works there!
They have so many different kinds of pins to
choose from!
Here is H standing in line to meet Goofy and
Donald Duck. She took this very seriously
(it was so incredibly cute to watch her!). Here he is
holding her autograph book. Periodically
throughout the parks she would turn around in
her stroller and ask me if I still had her book! :)
At first I thought she would be scared of the characters
because they are bigger than her but she got really
into it and loved it!
At Magic Kingdom we took the train ride
around the park. Pretty cool!!
Chad took the girls on the race cars speedway.
V went by herself and Chad took H in another
car. I had to sit this one out- expectant mothers
are encouraged not to ride! :)
Chad let her drive by herself and he said it was
so funny- she absolutely loved steering the car but
apparently she went all over the place!
Here is a ride I was able to go on- the flying magic carpets!
I included this picture because I thought it was hilarious-
I'm not quite sure what Chad was doing to me back there!! :)
The teacups!!
We all went together in one teacup at first and I have to
admit I was the "fun spoiler". I sternly told everyone the
entire ride that they had better not spin the teacups any
faster than they would go by themselves
(which wasn't very fast). I was
so afraid to go too fast and get sick to my stomach!
So, we comprimised (not very happily, I might add)- we rode
them again and H and I went in one by ourselves (where we
went very slowly!!). Then Chad and V went in their own where
they went VERY fast. Needless to say, it was kind of
funny to watch Chad after that ride- he wasn't sure if he
could eat his lunch after that- he was not feeling very well!!! :)
This was one of H's favorite rides-
the horses!! We took her on these twice!
Waiting in line for "Its a small world".
Chad and V in front of Cinderella's castle!
Riding the boat back to our resort from Downtown Disney!
You are probably wondering who is this man in our pic?!?
Meet John and he works at Magic Kingdom! While we
were parking the stroller to go on a ride, he stopped to talk
to us. He was very friendly but I could tell Chad was itching
to get in line and say goodbye! Then, all of a sudden he told us
to follow him and he brought us to another ride and told us
to stand in the fast pass line (to which we had no fast
passes). When we passed the attendant, she asked for our
fast passes, we told her we had none and that John had told
us to get in line. "Oh", she said, "tell the attendants ahead that
you have a magic moment from John!" So, we were able to
be on the ride in about 10 minutes instead of the normal
30+ minute wait!! So, thank you John, for our
"magic moment!" :)
Enjoying dinner at a Asian restaurant in Epcot!
We were able to meet up with my Aunt Marianne and Uncle Ron
who live in Chicago but vacation 3/4 of the year in Florida!!
We had a wonderful time visiting and enjoying lunch together. :)
On our last day, we went to Hollywood Studios-
one of my favorite parks!!
Why, might you ask, is Chad doing some gardening
at our resort?!? H loved picking the flowers around the
parks and most of the time she would just pluck off a few
impatiens and tuck them in her hair. But in this instance,
she decided to pluck off a geranium, which you might know,
doesn't "pluck" off very easily! She ended up pulling up
the whole plant which Chad had to replant!! It was
so hilarious- I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!
Awww, be still my beating heart.
Despite my germ phobia and lice phobia, I did let
H try on some hats and because she was so
stinkin cute, I had to take pics!
Well, I hope you enjoyed our trip to Disneyworld
(in as few pics as I possibly could)!!
We are looking very forward to our next trip
to Disneyworld, probably in another 4-5 years though!!
It will certainly be different with 3 kids next time! :)
